Ingredients:
- 1 8-10 lbs pork shoulder
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions:
Set the oven to 325F 163C before you start cooking
Mix smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper with apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and brown sugar in a bowl to make a marinade
Spread the marinade all over the pork shoulder in a roasting pan, making sure it covers all sides
For the best flavor, marinate the pork shoulder for at least two hours or overnight
Before you roast the pork, take it out of the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes
The pork shoulder should be roasted in an oven that has been preheated for four to five hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195F 90C
Every hour, baste the shoulder with pan juices
After cooking, let the pork rest for 15 to 20 minutes before cutting it into tasty slices
Put your favorite BBQ sauce on top of the roasted pork shoulder and enjoy
